An ideal wilderness sea-touring canoe/kayak hybrid.
An ideal wilderness sea-touring canoe/kayak hybrid. The Sea-1 can be paddled with either a canoe or kayak paddle. Features a large cockpit, 9.5′ in length, which provides easy access to cargo. With a pronounce flare in the bow, the Sea-1 will rise and shed waves in even the most adverse of conditions.
The V-bottom hull design provides excellent tracking. The Sea-1 has built-in flotation in the bow and the stern. Other features include rudder (standard), molded plastic adjustable seat. A nylon spraydeck is available as an option.
The boat performs splendidly. I am absolutely, 100% satisfied. Beyond satisfied, actually. I’m not going to let anyone take this boat out because if I do, they’ll surely try and steal it from me.
Light, steady and maneuverable. It’s exactly what I wanted. I can’t thank you and your staff enough for this. I’ll be up at Cormorant Island for a week at the end of this month and I plan on pretty much living in the boat.
Many thanks from an extremely happy customer.

Very high volume decked canoe with hull lines reminiscent of a Baidarka. The build quality is extremely good, with exceptional attention to detail. The seat is comfortable with vertical and fore-aft adjust-ability. The foot pegs/rudder controls are beefy, slide easily, and are probably the best I have seen. The rudder is pretty effective. I did not paddle the boat without the rudder. The gear storage area is cavernous and easily accessible. The boat has excellent speed and glide and does a great job in wind and waves. The initial and secondary stability are very good, although it can feel a bit odd at first because the seat is set a bit higher than it is in other decked canoes. However, I thought that the seat height helped me get a nice, strong paddle stroke. It looks to me like the boat was designed to be paddled with a load. It does well for day paddles, but I think that its real niche is as a big touring boat.
The Sea 1 is excellent in rough water, and performs wonderfully under a Falcon Sails. Tracks straight as an arrow even in confused seas.
